Creating a Christmas Themed bedroom doesn’t have to be tacky and can actually look pretty romantic and even bring you and your partner closer together. Many people would love to decorate the bedroom for Christmas but are too afraid of the room looking too “Christmasy”. Your bedroom doesn’t have to look so tacky if you choose the right color scheme and room decor.
The bed is considered the main focal point because it is usually the largest piece in the room. We can easily purchase a Christmas themed duvet cover or comforter set but it can look pretty tacky and not romantic at all. Choose solid colors instead. Gold, red, green and white is the perfect choices. All four colors can be used together to create the perfect scenery. For example, if you choose a green duvet or comforter set for your bed then throw in 4 or 5 small solid color pillows with the other colors mentioned previously or mix up solid colors with small Christmas themed pillows.
Wrap red ribbons onto the solid color pillows as if they were Christmas Gifts. Decorative ribbons can also be used to tie back window curtains. You can also align your window frames with swags of garlands. Add a medium size Christmas tree in the corner of the room. Decorated with just white Christmas lights. Place under the tree private gifts for your partner and yourself. Make sure to place the gifts under the tree after your kids have gone off to bed. Also, place red, green, gold color and scented candles next to the bed.
